Open your Chimera App.
A new window will open.
On the Home page, tap the "RECEIVE" button.
A new window will open.
Select "Bitcoin" from the asset list.
On the network screen, select "Lightning" as the network.
A new window will open.
Enter the amount of Bitcoin you want to receive in the amount field at the top. This is required β Lightning invoices must include the amount to be valid.
Once the amount is entered, the app generates a Lightning invoice and QR code.
Tap the "Copy address" dropdown to copy the Lightning invoice, or scan the provided QR code with the sender's wallet.
You can also tap "SHARE" to send the invoice via another app.
Keep the Chimera app tab open until the transaction is completed.
Settlement happens on average in a few seconds.
IMPORTANT Send ONLY Bitcoin using the Lightning Network. Any other asset sent will be permanently and irreversibly lost, with no option to recover it.
IMPORTANT Do NOT type the invoice manually. Always copy/paste or scan the QR code to avoid errors.
IMPORTANT Lightning receives require the app to stay open until the transaction is completed. Closing the app or the tab before settlement may cause the payment to fail.
IMPORTANT Lightning invoices require an amount to be generated. You cannot receive a Lightning payment without specifying the amount first.
IMPORTANT Lightning fees are dynamic β they scale with the amount received and with current network routing conditions. The exact fee for your invoice is displayed in the app before you share it. Fees are typically low, usually less than $0.01.
